Happy Birthday To Whom?

Birthday Wishes

Special Day
Today is my birthday and it is different from the previous birthdays because of Facebook. This year, a lot of people greeted me Happy birthday in so many different ways through Facebook. Some are short, some unexpected, some wishing me my dreams come true one day, some are sent in foreign translation and some showered me with love. This year turned out to be encouraging to celebrate because there were so many wonderful greetings for my birthday.
I made a short note on my Facebook that it is my birthday today and we went to the sea to watch the lazy seal, sunbathing on the shore of Monterrey bay. Well, we did not really go but imagination will work alright to brighten up my day. Speaking of Monterrey, it is a good place to be. The weather is nice, close to nature and pleasant neighborhood.
For all the reasons to celebrate my birthday in a very unique way, I made up a list of blessings that would be enough to make it a different birthday today.

Today is another blessing of LOVE
The love from above, unconditional, endless and boundless through eternity. The love from my family and friends whom I may not see from time to time but knowing they will be there for me when the time comes. The love that is our hearts no matter how busy and occupied are we without own problems. It is all about love, making the world go around while enjoying the ride through learning more of oneself, gradually learning to love oneself including my imperfections.
Today is another blessing of NEW LIFE
Knowing I am alive and kicking, spend time with my family and friends who greeted me with sweet nothings on Facebook. Is it not a blessing to be able to go on the computer and put down all your thoughts and feelings? Is it not a blessing to open up one's eye, look around to admire the beauty of nature? The air I am breathing for free, the sun that shines to brighten the day with all the flowers blooming mightily and the sky so blue, soothing, peaceful enough to enlighten my soul as I journey in life.
Today is another blessing of HOPE
Waking up, a new day, a new hope to conquer. I hope to be a better person, a better spouse, a better parent, a better businessman, a better employee and a better friend in order to give hope to those who needed it the most. Each time I struggle myself to become a better person, there is hope. It is hope that keeps me going despite all the trials and misfortune that life sometimes catches up with me.
Today is another blessing of HEALTH
With good health, it is the most priceless treasure a man can possess. When I am healthy, my mind works well and my body too. That goes well with having a healthy emotion, a healthy physique and a working brain that is enough to keep up with the new technology.
Having a healthy life is a lot of work. I need to love myself, take care of myself and laugh at myself to keep my health up and best.
Today is another blessing of GIVING
While it is my birthday today, it is still better to give than to receive. When my sister greets me " Happy birthday to you, dear Sis. May all your dreams and wishes come true", I responded that my dream is to see her in a graduation gown and my wish is to see her love herself more than ever. That made my birthday different. Giving myself to others, to serve with gladness and never expect anything in return. Believe me, it is a wonderful feeling...
Today is another blessing of LAUGHTER
Laughter is the best medicine. I can't live without laughter in my life. It is a break from a hard life, a comfortable life, and a lifeless life. With laughter, all the day's hard work will be forgotten. With laughter, all the pain will be covered with a happy face. With laughter, all the anger will be replaced with a relaxed body. With laughter in life, I keep my youthfulness and age with grace.
Today is another blessing of CONTENTMENT
For all the blessings I have received, they suffice enough to live a life full of life. Need to say more on contentment? I am off to enjoy my birthday in the peaceful silence, in one with nature and enjoying the beauty of the people around me. My family, friends and strangers who are just like me.

A Mouse In My House

A Mouse In My House

While sorting the clothes according to colors before loading them in the washer, I heard the sound of a heavy fall! I was still holding this heavy denim jacket with my hands and look around to see if something fell on the floor and found nothing. My husband loves to carry a bunch of keys and my first suspect would be keys falling off from his pants pocket. Then I heard this tiny sound scurrying in the tub. It does sound different from a key. Keys do cling and clang because it’s metal. This time the noise was smoother than a metal. Suddenly, a mouse jumps, trying to escape but failed. Oh no! A mouse in my house! My first thoughts were the words – scared, angry, and mad. I hate mouse!  angry with mouse and mad with a cat. How can a mouse survive and exist in my house when we have two cats. I feel frustrated thinking it is the cats’ responsibility to keep mouse out of the house. Life is so full of surprises; I had an encounter with a raccoon too.

Finding a way out
At that moment, watching the mouse trying to escape was a learning lesson to me. The mouse see me eye to eye, must be wondering what a giant I was in size, but did not lose faith to escape. He sees the enemy in me and went around the tub to check if there is a way out. He stays still a few times, trying to think, to escape or to fight? He jumps as many times as he can and a few times landed on one arm rest of the tub, halfway the tub, jumps again for escape but ended up back on the bottom of the tub. Had the mouse jump from the higher end of the arm rest, he would have escaped!

My heart feels for him
The mouse got my attention and felt sympathy. Maybe the mouse would be a good surprise to my daughter. The mouse changed my thoughts from anger to hmmm… might be a good idea to do something with the mouse, instead of spoiling my day because of a mouse.  So, I went to look for a container to trap the mouse in. It took me a few minutes to capture the mouse. The last thing I would do is to let the mouse crawl on me and escape through me. Besides, I do not like the feel of a mouse crawling on me.

Capturing the mouse

I got this plastic container, 12 inch deep and 6 inch wide container and uncover it. Holding the container upside down, aimed for the mouse with the opening pointing down and trap the mouse, holding the container with one hand next to the bottom of the tub. I had a hard thick paper twice the size of the opening to slide it under the opening for temporary cover.  What a perfect plan! I missed the first time and got out of the tub immediately for fear of the mouse. A giant fears a mouse?  But is true! The mouse was smart too! So desperate to escape, he ended up hiding, squeezed into the jets! I needed a stick to poke him out but instead cling tightly. I have to change my plan and the second time, I aimed it with focus onto the jets, poke him with a stick and got him in, slide the thick paper under subsequently pick up the lid to cover the container tightly. I recorded a video to see what a mouse would do when caught. It was a desperate cry for escape.

A surprise
Anyway, when my daughter came home, she was eager to see what the surprise of the day is, closes her eyes and waited patiently. The moment she opened her eyes, she was jumping with joy for she had been wishing to have a pet mouse. I ask her why, “They are so cute.” she answered. She named the mouse Brownie because of its color. We spotted a daddy long leg spider, walking so calmly, it became a meal. We trap the spider and feed it to the mouse that was happy to finish it all. The next day we noticed the smoggy look of the once clear plastic container. The mouse seemed to be quiet and inactively staying in one corner of the container. “Maybe it’s time to let it go,” I told my daughter, “before it dies in there.” Fearing the worst, my daughter agrees with me and we decided to let the mouse go. The mouse was cute but needs to be in the right place. She had a full day of fun with Brownie and it was another day in the life of a mouse in my house.

Symbolism Of Dreams

Symbolism of dreams

                            Dream Symbols

Animals often represent the part of your psyche that feels connected to nature and survival. Being chased by a predator suggests you're holding back repressed emotions like fear or aggression.

Babies can symbolize a literal desire to produce offspring, or your own vulnerability or need to feel loved. They can also signify a new start.
Being chased is one of the most common dream symbols in all cultures. It means you're feeling threatened, so reflect on who's chasing you (they may be symbolic) and why they're a possible threat in real life.

 Dream of Being Chased

Clothes make a statement about how we want people to perceive us. If your dream symbol is shabby clothing, you may feel unattractive or worn out. Changing what you wear may reflect a lifestyle change.

Crosses are interpreted subjectively depending on your religious beliefs. Some see it as symbolizing balance, death, or an end to a particular phase of life. The specific circumstances will help define them.
Exams can signify self-evaluation, with the content of the exam reflecting the part of your personality or life under inspection.
Death of a friend or loved one represents change (endings and new beginnings) and is not a psychic prediction of any kind. If you are recently bereaved, it may be an attempt to come to terms with the event.
Falling is a common dream symbol that relates to our anxieties about letting go, losing control, or somehow failing after a success.
Faulty machinery in dreams is caused by the language center being shut down while asleep, making it difficult to dial a phone, read the time, or search the internet. It can also represent performance anxiety.
Food is said to symbolize knowledge, because it nourishes the body just as information nourishes the brain. However, it could just be food.

Demons are sneaky evil entities which signify repressed emotions. You may secretly feel the need to change your behaviors for the better.

Hair has significant ties with gender orientation, according to Freud. Abundant hair may symbolize virility while cutting hair off in a dream shows a loss of libido. Hair loss may also express a literal fear of going bald.

Hands are always present in dreams but when they are tied up it may represent feelings of futility. Washing your hands may express guilt. Looking closely at your hands in a dream is a good way to become lucid.
Houses can host many common dream symbols, but the building as a whole represents your inner psyche. Each room or floor can symbolize different emotions, memories and interpretations of meaningful events.

Dream of Houses
Killing in your dreams does not make you a closet murderer; it represents your desire to "kill" part of your own personality. It can also symbolize hostility towards a particular person.

Marriage may be a literal desire to wed or a merging of the feminine and masculine parts of your psyche.

Missing a flight or any other kind of transport is another common dream, revealing frustration over missing important opportunities in life. It's most common when you're struggling to make a big decision.

Money can symbolize self worth. If you dream of exchanging money, it may show that you're anticipating some changes in your life.

Mountains are obstacles, so to dream of successfully climbing a mountain can reveal a true feeling of achievement. Viewing a landscape from atop a mountain can symbolize a life under review without conscious prejudice.

Nudity is one of the most common dream symbols, revealing your true self to others. You may feel vulnerable and exposed to others. Showing off your nudity may suggest urges or a desire for recognition.

People (other dream characters) are reflections of your own psyche, and may demonstrate specific aspects of your own personality.

Radios and TVs can symbolize communication channels between the conscious and unconscious minds. When lucid, ask them a question.

Roads, aside from being literal manifestations, convey your direction in life. This may be time to question your current "life path".

Schools are common dream symbols in children and teenagers but what about dreaming of school in adulthood? It may display a need to know and understand yourself, fueled by life's own lessons.

Teachers, aside from being literal manifestations of people, can represent authority figures with the power to enlighten you.

Teeth are common dream symbols. Dreaming of losing your teeth may mark a fear of getting old and being unattractive to others.

Being trapped (physically) is a common nightmare theme, reflecting your real life inability to escape or make the right choice.

12 Things Happy Couples Talk About and Feel Closer!

What makes a couple happy? Well, for starters, these 12 things happy couples talk about can make all the difference between happy love and a bad romance!

One of the best things about being in a relationship is having someone to talk to about everything that crosses your mind.
When you are in a happy relationship, it may seem as though there is nothing that you and your partner don’t discuss.
But then again, there are some topics of conversation that you may find yourselves repeating rather often.
Happy couples have some of the richest conversations because the topics can stretch from the past to the present, and look forward into the future together.
These conversations are rich and meaningful *even if they just seem silly or trivial!* and indicate that your relationship will continue to be a source of happiness for a long time.

Happy couples and the 3 stages of conversations
What are the things that happy couples talk about? We’ve listed out twelve of the most common conversation topics for happy couples.
If these conversations sound like the ones that you have with your partner via text during the day, over a late-night supper, or during a long car trip, you can be confident that you are doing your relationship right, and progressing together as a happy couple, in the right direction!

couples talk about the past

#1 Fond memories. The best part of being a happy couple is that you have happy memories to look back on. Reminiscing with your partner is an excellent way to remember the fantastic times that both of you have shared together, and reminds you why you love each other.

#2 Childhood. Filling your significant other in on parts of your childhood helps them to understand where you have come from and why you are the way you are. These stories also knit together not just the two of you, but also the other important family members in your lives.
Sharing these parts of yourself can make a relationship deeper and more meaningful, and childhood experiences often make for the most fantastic of stories!

#3 Bittersweet memories. While happy memories may be the most fun to talk about, the hard things that you’ve crossed paths with often explain more about your personality than anything else. By sharing these conversations with your partner, you are demonstrating trust *chances are, some of these memories are the ones you hold closest to your heart*, and also showing them a more emotional side of yourself.
Bittersweet memories often include the people, lessons, and experiences that you hold the dearest to you and sharing them with your partner brings the two of you much closer together.

#4 Obstacles you have overcome. Even the happiest couples have had to overcome hard times and misunderstandings. However, just because these fights or misunderstandings have long since been solved doesn’t mean that you never discuss them again. By talking over the past struggles, happy couples are able to learn from the past by identifying patterns and behaviors that need to be repaired or modified in their relationships.

Happy couples talk about the present

#5 Their feelings. One of the most important factors in the communication of happy couples is their ability to share their feelings honestly with each other. By keeping your partner attuned to how you feel, they would be in a better position to judge their own actions and reactions. And at the same time, communicating about feelings always increases the clarity of your communications.

#6 Their day and their daily lives. In today’s world, it is rare that couples are able to spend all day together. Happy couples are able to lead separate lives, but make a point of filling each other in on what they’ve accomplished or endured during the day.
By communicating the day-to-day events of their lives, happy couples are able to understand each other better. Knowing the little details of your partner’s job or hearing about all the people they interact with every day shows interest in all parts of your partner’s life, not just the time spent beside you.

#7 Inside jokes. There is nothing more hilarious than being able to make your significant other laughs hysterically by saying a single word or making a certain face. Having jokes that only the two of you understand brings you closer together and gives you a surefire way to survive boring dinner parties or work functions!

The best part about inside jokes is that they have a tendency to grow more humorous over time – and no one else will understand why the two of you have tears of laughter rolling down your face.

#8 Individual preferences. Happy couples have no difficulty communicating their preferences – favorite kinds of movies, music, or evenings out. Being honest, and trusting that your partner will love you anyways is incredibly important to creating a happy and healthy relationship.
After all, if you feel that you have to constantly hide parts of yourself from your boyfriend, girlfriend or your spouse, you will never be fully comfortable and confident with your significant other. Happy couples trust that their relationship is strong enough to handle honest discussions about preferred activities, events, or entertainment.

#9 Embarrassing moments
Embarrassing moments can be some of the most mortifying parts of your life, but they can also be some of the most ridiculous ones too! Being able to share funny stories that don’t always cast you in the best light is a sign that you trust your partner completely and know that they will love you no matter what.
Sharing embarrassing moments is a great chance to laugh with your significant other, and to stop taking yourself seriously. It can be incredibly endearing to hear about the times you have both made fools out of yourselves, and that will bring the two of you closer together.

Happy couples talk about the future

#10 Plans. When you are in a happy relationship, any big decision is discussed between the two of you before any steps are taken. This shows respect for each other and a desire to include the other person in decisions that will affect both of you.
Happy couples make plans together, especially if the decisions are hard ones that will have an impact on the relationship, but they also talk about the small things like planning a dinner out with a friend. Asking for your significant other’s input about the plans you make even on an individual level, shows your respect for them and the appreciation of their opinions.

#11 Hopes. Happy couples make sure that their conversations include discussions about what they hope will happen in the future. These discussions might be about what you hope will happen in your relationship specifically, or what you hope will happen professionally.
While having a strict 5-year-plan is not the solution for many relationships, having a good understanding of what both partners expect from their future, both as partners in the relationship or marriage, and individually, always helps communication in love.
Having a basic understanding of what they are hopefully moving towards as a couple is important for happy couples, and ensures that both partners will be able to stay happy as the relationship moves forwards.

#12 Dreams. The best part of being with someone who you trust completely is that you can share your biggest dreams with them. These dreams can be as serious or as silly as you want, but trusting your significant other with these things that you hold close to your heart is the key to happy couples.

It is easy to be jealous of happy couples that seem to have everything figured out and still have unlimited topics of conversations all the time.
But with a little effort, trust and communication, you can have these conversations in your own love life too.

And the best thing about these conversations in your own relationship *regardless of how happy you currently are*, is the fact that it’ll strengthen and build a happier relationship. After all, these conversation topics demonstrate honesty, enjoyment of each other’s company, and mutual respect – the best building blocks for any relationship.

So how many of these 12 things happy couples talk about do you indulge in, in your own relationship, a few or all of them? The answer can reveal just how happy you are, and just how much happier you can be!
